Broken metalwork is usually bolted down, hung on posts or too heavy to move, so Richard brings the welder to it. If the metal is too far gone to hold a weld, he'll say so rather than weld over it and hope.

Richard looks at the photo and tells you whether he can quote from it or needs to see it.

Arrange a visit
You pick a time together, and he'll make sure he can get the welder close enough to reach the damage.

Make the repair
He fixes the metal, or cuts out the damaged section and welds in new, whichever the estimate said.
